Things change quickly, don’t they?
On Sunday, 60 Minutes aired a new episode which featured a pre-robbery Kim Kardashian West who openly talked about how she monetized her incredibly public life.
Pretty awkward, considering how she’s been feeling about that lately…
During her candid chat with correspondent Bill Whitaker, the KUWTK starlet credited her continued success to her activities on social media. Of course, this interview now seems in poor taste as Keeks’ online use has been blamed for making her the target of an armed robbery in Paris earlier this month. Oof.
Perhaps this segment can now be used as a learning tool for Kim and other celebrities? Be sure to ch-ch-check out the HIGHlights from the special for yourself (below)!
Kim Reveals What Her “Talent” Is
At one point during the episode, Mrs. West defended herself against the claim that she doesn’t have any talent. Not only has Kim had her hands in almost every faction of the industry, but she’s also mastered the art of getting people to care about her life. She noted: “It is a talent to have a brand that’s really successful off of getting people to like you for you. I would think that has to involve some kind of talent, you know?”
No Fame Without Social Media
The one thing we really respect about the mother-of-two is her honesty about how she maintains her fame. After Whitaker asked Kim about her relationship with social media, the A-lister shared: “I totally attribute my career to social media.” Girl ain’t wrong.
Enjoying The Good Life
When asked about the monetary benefits of her highly public lifestyle, the celebutante couldn’t contain the smirk which crept upon her face. Although, in an attempt to stay humble, Kim simply stated that the money is “not bad”. LOLz!
The Pros Of Living A Public Life Outweigh The Cons…
This moment just makes us sad. When talking about the cons associated with her lifestyle, the reality TV star reassured her interviewer that the pros outweighed the cons in her situation. She relayed: “I do believe that the pros in my situation and my lifestyle have been more beneficial than the negative things.” We doubt she feels this way right now…
